Solarrus Corporation (Solarrus), a provider for the solar, electric vehicle, and battery energy storage services, announced that it has acquired MaxGen Energy Services , LLC (MaxGen), the premier asset management, operations and maintenance (O&M) provider for utility-scale solar power generating facilities.

“Inclusion of MaxGen under the Solarrus umbrella enhances the asset management capabilities that we offer to utility-scale solar customers,” stated Bill Klein, founder and CEO of Solarrus Corporation. “MaxGen not only brings additional talent to Solarrus, but also provides a platform through which we will continue to build our range of energy services.”

Solarrus is the parent company for True South Renewables, Inc. (TSR), which provides services to utility-scale, commercial distributed generation, and residential portfolios.  Solarrus, through its combined ownership of TSR and MaxGen, will now be able to seamlessly provide solar asset owners with high-quality maintenance and asset management services across all project sizes.

Solarrus acquired MaxGen from Signal Energy, a subsidiary of EMJ Construction.  EMJ is the nationwide general contractor for all types of construction projects including airports, education, government/civic, hospitality, industrial/warehouse, commercial, and renewable energy projects. Signal Energy is a full service design/build contractor providing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for renewable energy projects across North America. As part of Solarrus, MaxGen will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary company.

“Solarrus will enable MaxGen to continue to expand its foot print from coast-to-coast,” added Joe Brotherton, President of MaxGen. “MaxGen’s experience and expertise with utility-scale solar projects is a perfect complement to the range of services that Solarrus and True South Renewables offer to customers today.”
