Yingli Green Energy has achieved the second highest average score on the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC) Solar Scorecard over the past five years. SVTC is a non-profit organization that advocates for environmental protection and social justice in high-technology industries such as the solar energy industry.

"From our aggressive carbon emission reduction targets to our philanthropic initiatives, we at Yingli are dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility across all aspects of our operations. We are honored that SVTC has recognized that dedication," commented Mr. Liansheng Miao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy.

Since 2010, SVTC has surveyed PV manufacturers to rank their social and environmental performance in its annually published Solar Scorecard. The Scorecard serves as a guide for industry stakeholders, investors, communities and policymakers to better understand how different PV manufacturers care for the environment, their employees, and local communities. Survey questions cover manufacturers' extended producer responsibility, product take-back policies, their commitment to worker health and safety, and their use of toxic chemicals.
