With effect from 1st February 2015, Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturing companies, has extended the product warranty for its Eldora Ultima Series 60-cell polycrystalline solar modules from 10 to 12 years.
A series of in-house reliability tests, product design changes and process improvements were carried out over the last year and have resulted in the company’s decision to offer a 20% higher product warranty compared to the industry standard. The extended product warranty complements Vikram’s 25-year performance guarantee.
Ivan Saha (President & CTO) commented on the company’s decision, saying: “State-of-the-art production equipment from leading European and Japanese manufacturers, the best bill of materials, continuous R&D work and enhanced internal testing have resulted in considerable improvements, which in turn have led to even more reliable products.
