The Power & Electricity Show Vietnam 2019 is pleased to welcome Energy Trend as media partner.

With 100GW of additional capacity forecast by 2030, and a ten-fold increase in renewable energy generation, Vietnam is serious about the future of its energy sector. Solar, wind, energy storage, and other renewables are poised to be key as the country scales up its efforts to bring stable, reliable electricity to the entire population.

The Solar Show Vietnam returns to Ho Chi Minh City on 3-4 April 2019. It will bring together policy makers, regulators, investors and financiers, leading utilities, power producers, project developers, renewable energy vendors, with the business owners, homeowners and land developers, both international local to discuss and learn about the potential of energy in Vietnam.

Ms Sharon Roessen, Managing Director of Terrapinn, the event organizer, said: “When we put this event together in April 2018, the huge response and the immense desire to learn about alternative energy options – particularly about solar and wind energy was unexpected. The Solar Show Vietnam will be back in 2019 and we hope it will continue to drive interest in the renewable energy sector.”

Some prominent topics on the keynote conference include “Solar & storage: Creating reliable, renewable power,” and “Growing renewable energy in Vietnam: Investing in the future,” and panel discussions on “Making Renewable Energy Projects in Vietnam Bankable.”

Aside from the keynote conference, there will be an additional two free to attend on-floor seminar theatres on the exhibition floor: on wind, solar, energy storage, and power and electricity.

Investors, both local and foreign, have an interest in renewable energy in the country, which is expected to grow by 23.2 per cent annually from 2020-2030 as Vietnam’s appetite for electricity increases with economic growth. AC Energy (Philippines), Superblock Pcl (Thailand), and Janakuasa Singapore are just some examples. AC Energy’s CEO John Francia said that the company is keenly interested in renewable energy, and that Vietnam needs additional investment to fuel its double-digit economic growth.

The show will span two floors in the GEM Center, with 100 exhibitors and sponsors, including Jinko Solar, Hanwha Q Cells, JA Solar, Sofar Solar, ABB and VSUN, and feature a Singapore Pavilion. They will showcase and speak about the latest solar and renewable energy technologies, such as wind and grid integration.

Over 3000 industry attendees are expected to head down to the show on 3-4 April 2019.
