Demand for LinkCom’s magnetic components remains strong thanks to the stay-at-home economy and metaverse applications generated by the proliferation of 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E connectivity. LinkCom’s revenue for January 2022 reached NT$56.928 million, representing a 39.13% MoM increase and 5.26% YoY increase. Not only is the company seeing an increasing volume of orders from clients, but it has also successfully become part of various US-based Tier 1 automotive suppliers’ supply chains, with its products slated to be used in EV charging poles in the future.
Regarding LinkCom’s revenue shares from various products for 2021, transformers, xDSL transformers, LAN filters, common mode chokes, and smart modules accounted for 42.6%, 20.6%, 21.7%, 14%, and 1.1%, respectively, making it one of the few leading companies capable of supplying both telecom and power products. At the moment, LinkCom serves more than 30 client groups worldwide.
Established in 1988, LinkCom possesses more than 33 years of experience in manufacturing various magnetic components, which are power electronics necessary for energy storage, energy transformation, signal transformation, and galvanic isolation. In particular, 95% of LinkCom’s revenue is derived from major clients’ demand for cable modems (used for home-use broadband, commercial networking, and IoT purposes), Wi-Fi 6/6E wireless equipment, and small 5G base stations.
LinkCom is carefully bullish on its outlook for 1Q22. Thanks to the current sweeping popularity of the stay-at-home economy, metaverse, and NFTs driven by 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E applications, LinkCom’s telecom clients continue to place a record volume of orders, while the company itself maintains a healthy level of component inventory. These conditions are conducive to LinkCom’s continued growth.
In addition, LinkCom has been gradually reaping the fruits of its longtime labor in the EV market. Not only has LinkCom successfully entered North American EV manufacturers’ connectivity system supply chains, but its automotive magnetic components, developed via Qualcomm chips, have also been officially approved by Qualcomm and entered US-based Tier 1 suppliers’ supply chains. These components will be used in EV charging poles in the future and are expected to undergo another wave of demand growth as major automotive clients.
