Audi e-tron S Performance SUV On sale, Three-motor Version Available in Taiwan

Audi Taiwan announced the official launch last week of the electric SUV e-tron performance version e-tron "S" with the Sportsback version launched simultaneously. The price of this three-motor performance beast in Taiwan was also announced.

The Audi e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback were officially launched, equipped with three electric motors and the e-tron S exclusive dual-motor torque vectoring system on the rear axle, which not only provides a maximum power output of 503PS (boost mode), but also provides dynamic overdrive. Cornering and overall performance and handling are greatly improved with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at N$3.94 million.

Audi Taiwan has introduced 6 pure electric models so far. Today, we present the newest members of the pure electric performance brigade, the Audi e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback. Currently, there are as many as 6 pure EVs available, which are practical across driver needs from family and sports-oriented to top performance.” The "Audi Pure Electric Life Cycle" partners with local charging operators such as Noodoe, EV OASIS, TAIL, EVALUE and NHΩA.TCC to continue to expand the convenience of charging.

 

The e-tron S adopts a three-motor design and, with quattro technology, it can intelligently distribute power to achieve optimal performance.

The performance electric e-tron S launched in Taiwan this time is equipped with 3 electric motors, adopting a configuration of 2 rear and 1 front. The combined performance of the 3 motors can output a maximum of 503 horsepower and a maximum torque of 973 Newtons in Boost mode. Acceleration from 0 to 100km/h can be completed in only 4.5 seconds.

In addition to excellent acceleration performance, the car is also equipped with the latest pure electric quattro technology. In normal driving mode, kinetic energy output is activated through the rear axle motor. If more power support is required for driving, the system will automatically activate the front axle electric motor intelligently providin the required kinetic energy during acceleration and cornering. In addition, the rear axle is equipped with the e-tron S exclusive rear axle dual-motor torque distribution system which can actively and quickly distribute torque to the left and right rear wheels, assisting the driver in agile cornering and providing the joy of flexible control.

Through the work of the design team, the e-tron S has a 2 cm wider wheel arch than the e-tron 50/55 model and is equipped with air-flow notches on both sides to improve aerodynamics. A 12.3-inch Audi full-digital virtual cockpit Plus is installed in front of the driver's seat with a central dual-touch screen and an exclusive S sports seat design, creating a high-tech and sporty cockpit atmosphere.

The Audi driving assistance systems such as ACC active cruise control system, traffic jam assist system, vehicle departure safety warning system, and lane change assist system are equipped as standard in the car, giving all occupants a safe driving environmen. In addition, luggage loading functionality is also comprehensive with rear seat backs that can fold down to a maximum of 1,725 liters and 1,665 liters of loading space respectively.
