Genertec Italia SRL, the Italian branch of China National Machinery Import & Export (Group) Co., Ltd. ("CMC"), has recently formalized a strategic agreement for an impressive 700MW with Tongwei for the year 2024. This marks a significant milestone as the largest module order at the outset of 2024.

The ceremony, hosted in Rimini, Italy, saw Yan Dong, representing Genertec Italia SRL, and Arthur Wu, European Regional Sales Director for Tongwei's PV Business Department, come together to sign this pivotal agreement. The event was graced by the presence of Li Bin, the Economic and Commercial Minister Counselor from the Chinese Embassy in Italy.

This collaboration is a continuation and deepening of the successful partnership forged between Tongwei and CMC in 2023. Following a visit by Zhu Zhenmin, the Executive Director and General Manager of CMC, to Tongwei in February 2023, which included signing an annual procurement framework agreement for 700MW of Tongwei's high-efficiency modules, the partnership has evolved. The commencement of 2024 sees both entities reinforcing their alliance. Under this new strategic framework, Tongwei and CMC's Italian affiliate, will intensify their collaboration in the Italian market, showcasing a solid commitment to mutual benefit, shared growth, and a win-win approach.

Yan Dong underscored that CMC, with its seventy-plus years of cultivation in international markets, is deeply entrenched in global business operations with extensive reach. This strategic re-engagement with Tongwei leverages CMC's over forty years of European experience and resources, aiming to synergize strengths. Together, they are set to promote the international expansion of China's smart manufacturing and pioneer an innovative, multidimensional cooperation model for the new energy industry's global distribution.

Arthur Wu reflected on the partnership's significance, stating, “Tongwei's commitment to the new energy industry's advancement is unwavering. This reaffirmed collaboration with CMC not only reflects a high esteem for Tongwei’s product quality and services but also acknowledges the fruitful results of our past year's joint efforts.”

Minister Counselor Li Bin, representing the Chinese Embassy in Italy at the signing, extended his congratulations to both parties for their exemplary cooperation. He highlighted this partnership as a model for collaboration in the new energy sector, poised to enhance green energy exchange and cooperation and contribute to the global effort of carbon emission reduction.
