Polysilicon companies have successively reduced production to ease supply pressure

Polysilicon prices fell slightly this week. Among them, the transaction price range of n-type rod silicon was 40,000-43,000 yuan/ton, and the average transaction price was 41,800 yuan/ton, down 2.79% month-on-month. The transaction price range of P-type dense material was 34,000-39,000 yuan/ton, and the average transaction price was 37,300 yuan/ton, which was flat month-on-month. The transaction price range of n-type granular silicon was 37,000-39,000 yuan/ton, and the average transaction price was 37,500 yuan/ton, which was flat month-on-month.

This week, the order of polysilicon was very little, and most of them were scattered orders. Among them, there are 3 new transactions of n-type rod silicon, and no transaction has been counted for p-type rod silicon. It is understood that under the current extremely low price situation, the actual value of polysilicon deviates from the price, and more and more enterprises in production choose to press the goods, and parking companies suspend external sales. At the same time, some new entrants believe that even if they lower their quotations, they will not be able to make deals due to saturated polysilicon demand. Affected by the harsh market environment, the first-tier manufacturers have recently accelerated the maintenance process, and controlled the speed of production capacity release to jointly maintain market price stability.

As of this week, there are a total of 17 domestic polysilicon manufacturers, all of which have maintenance behaviors or maintenance plans. According to statistics, at least 9 companies have begun to overhaul or stop in May, which has a certain impact on output. Three polysilicon companies added more polysilicon capacity this month, but on the whole, the supply reduction caused by maintenance and shutdown was greater than the increase, easing the pressure on polysilicon supply. Polysilicon output is expected to be about 180,000 tons in May, down about 5% month-on-month.
