On August 11, the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of Angel Battery Corporation's Solid-State Battery Headquarters and R&D & Production Base Project was held in Tonglu Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang.
It is reported that the total investment of the project stands at 2.12 billion yuan, with a three-phase construction plan. A solid-state battery production base with an annual output of 3.5GWh will be built within five years.
The first phase of the project, which commenced construction this time, is situated on the west side of the intersection of Tianhe Road and Shuchuan Road in Tonglu Economic Development Zone, covering a total land area of 18.06 mu. With a planned investment of 280 million yuan, it will collaborate with Tsinghua University, Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) and other universities and research institutions to plan and construct China's first dry lamination solid-state battery production line, which is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of May 2026. The completion of this production line is expected to fill the gap in relevant domestic fields and drive a qualitative leap in solid-state battery technology.
