Recently, Pingmei LONGi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. released the completion and acceptance report for its BC Cell Technology Upgrade Project.
According to the report, in response to market trends and to capture greater market share, Pingmei LONGi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. plans to invest RMB 1.2339929 billion in the BC Cell Technology Upgrade Project. Through extensive communication with shareholders and local government, the company will transform the existing production equipment in Plant No. 102 into six high-capacity BC cell production lines.
Upon completion, the plant’s product line will be upgraded from M1/M2/M3/M10 monocrystalline silicon cells to G12R N-type BC cells, significantly improving photoelectric conversion efficiency and increasing single-cell power output to 10.4 W per piece. The plant’s annual production capacity will expand from 4.7 GW to 4.72 GW, while the total capacity of the entire factory will increase from 6.7 GW to 6.72 GW.
The project’s actual total investment amounts to RMB 1.2339929 billion, with environmental protection investments totaling RMB 55.639 million, accounting for 4.51% of the total. The approved production capacity is 4.72 GW of high-efficiency monocrystalline BC solar cells.
Earlier, Pingmei LONGi announced that its BC Cell Technology Upgrade Project achieved a stable photoelectric conversion efficiency exceeding 27.8%.
