On November 5th, Jiayuan Technology issued an announcement disclosing information regarding the "Framework Cooperation Agreement" signed with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited).
According to the agreement, CATL will procure no less than 626,000 tons of negative electrode current collector materials from Jiayuan Technology between 2026 and 2028, involving an amount exceeding 66 billion yuan (Note: calculated based on the current mainstream market price quotation for mainstream 4.5μm high-end lithium battery copper foil).
The announcement stated that Jiayuan Technology is a preferred supplier of copper foil products for CATL, and the "Framework Cooperation Agreement" was signed in Ningde City on November 4th, establishing a long-term and stable supply and demand cooperation relationship for the future.
Regarding capacity assurance, the agreement stipulates that during the three-year cooperation period from 2026 to 2028, Jiayuan Technology must guarantee a cumulative supply of 626,000 tons by supplying no less than 157,000 tons, 204,000 tons, and 265,000 tons in each respective year, meaning the total value of this cooperation exceeds 66 billion yuan.
The cooperation content includes:
- CATL will designate Jiayuan Technology as the preferred supplier for copper foil products, provided it meets the requirements and based on CATL's actual demand.
- The two parties will establish a long-term partnership to conduct comprehensive cooperation in the supply, research and development, and production of negative electrode current collector materials for new batteries (including but not limited to copper foil for solid-state batteries). For jointly developed products, CATL will designate Jiayuan Technology as the preferred supplier for this new product, provided it meets the requirements.
- CATL plans to procure battery negative electrode current collector materials based on its operating conditions, and Jiayuan Technology shall ensure the priority guarantee of CATL's product demand according to the minimum capacity requirements listed in the table below, while offering competitive pricing schemes.
