Demand in the global energy storage market continues to be unleashed. Trina Storage, AlphaESS, and Hanersun have recently reported new progress on energy storage orders across North America and Europe, covering project collaborations exceeding 1GWh.

Trina Storage Signs New North American Order

On December 16, Trina Storage announced it will further expand its strategic partnership with Lightshift Energy, a U.S.-based developer, builder, and operator of energy storage. Reports indicate that the cumulative scale of energy storage projects between the two parties has now exceeded 1GWh.

This project portfolio will utilize Trina Storage’s Elementa series energy storage solutions. Trina Storage and Lightshift had previously established a solid cooperative foundation, successfully launching four energy storage projects in Groton, Holden, and Paxton, Massachusetts, in 2024.

Public data shows that as of the first half of 2025, Trina Storage's cumulative shipments of battery cabinets and systems reached 12GWh.

AlphaESS Secures 320MWh Storage Order in Czech Republic

Recently, AlphaESS signed a cooperation agreement with Eltodo a.s. to deliver 320MWh of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) at two strategic sites in the Czech Republic: BESS Chvaletice and BESS Kladno. Upon completion, this will become the largest independent energy storage project in the Czech Republic.

Under the agreement, AlphaESS will supply 46 units of the Aster 5000 for the Chvaletice site and 18 units for the Kladno site. The AlphaESS Aster 5000 is a 5MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system. Featuring a fully integrated 20-foot design, the system incorporates the battery system, BMS, EMS, and fire suppression system into a single container, enabling rapid, large-scale deployment.

Hanersun Ships 10MWh Utility-scale Storage System to Bulgaria

On December 12, five units of Hanersun’s HNESS 2000-40H energy storage systems were loaded for shipment to Boynitsa, Bulgaria. This marks another collaboration between Hanersun and the local firm TECHNOENERGOSTROY.

For this partnership, Hanersun is providing an integrated energy solution consisting of a 5MW photovoltaic system, a 10MWh energy storage system, and supporting transformers. Of these, the 5MW HITOUCH 5N 585W bifacial modules and supporting transformers were shipped ahead of schedule in May this year. The project is expected to achieve grid connection and begin operations in the first quarter of 2026.
