Hithium Establishing a Presence in Santiago, Focusing on Chile's Long-Duration Energy Storage Market

On March 10, Hithium’s new office located in Santiago, Chile, was officially opened. This move further consolidates the company's business footprint in Latin America.

In response to the urgent demand of the Chilean power grid for large-capacity energy storage, Hithium prominently highlighted its large-capacity and long-duration energy storage technology solutions during this opening event.

Regarding multi-scenario energy storage systems, the company exhibited the ∞Power 6.9MWh system, capable of providing native 8-hour energy storage, as well as the ∞Power 6.25MWh platform-based system adapted for 2-to-4-hour application scenarios. In the field of large-capacity battery cells, Hithium showcased the ∞Cell 587Ah (for 2-hour scenarios) and the ∞Cell 1175Ah (for 4-hour scenarios) battery cells, which are tailored for different time durations.

In addition, the company announced the recent achievement of its 6.25MWh 4h long-duration energy storage system—equipped with 1000Ah-level battery cells—successfully passing the UL Solutions large-scale fire test. This validates the safety of the high-energy-density system alongside a significant increase in capacity.

With the establishment of the Chilean office, Hithium will further deepen its localized service capabilities in Latin America. It will also strengthen cooperation with local developers, power enterprises, and industry partners to jointly promote the development of the energy storage industry in the region.

AlphaESS Setting up a Spanish Subsidiary, Building an Iberian Strategic Hub

On March 9, local time, the Spanish subsidiary of AlphaESS officially opened in Barcelona, marking that the company's localized operations on the Iberian Peninsula have entered a new stage.

It is reported that this Spanish subsidiary will be developed into a strategic hub for expanding into the Iberian market, precisely radiating out to the entire regional markets of Spain and Portugal.

Taking localized operations as its core, AlphaESS will rely on its newly assembled professional local team and its comprehensive technical support and service system to provide customized solutions across all scenarios—including residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale energy storage within the region. This approach is designed to deeply align with local, differentiated energy consumption needs and assist the Iberian Peninsula in building a resilient and sustainable energy system.

The company stated that, in the future, it will use the Spanish subsidiary as a fulcrum to help local households, enterprises, and energy operators reduce electricity costs and enhance their energy autonomy, thereby further unleashing the potential of the European energy storage market.
