EnergyTrend has learned that on March 27, CALB released its 2025 results announcement.
According to the performance report, CALB achieved total revenue of RMB 44.4 billion in 2025, a year-on-year increase of approximately 60%; profit reached RMB 2.095 billion, up about 148.4% year-on-year, representing strong performance growth and a near-doubling of profit.
The annual report shows that CALB maintained growth across all business segments in 2025, with significant increases in market share for both power battery and energy storage cell products. Among them, energy storage cell shipments surged sharply, ranking fourth globally; power battery installations ranked fourth worldwide and third in China, with market share rising in both core businesses.
During the reporting period, CALB’s energy storage business emerged as a core growth driver. Revenue from energy storage system products and other related businesses amounted to approximately RMB 14.1 billion, accounting for 31.8% of total revenue and surging 71.9%. This robust growth was mainly driven by continuous expansion in the energy storage system product sector and a substantial increase in full-year shipments.
In the energy storage market, CALB achieved breakthroughs in both domestic and overseas markets. Domestically, the company deepened strategic cooperation with leading enterprises across power groups, system integrators, wind power, photovoltaic and other sub-sectors, including State Power Investment Corporation, CNNC, Three Gorges New Energy, China Energy Conservation, China Energy Investment Corporation, China Resources Group, Energy China and others. It steadily expanded incremental business in new energy power stations, explored diversified business models for industrial and commercial energy storage, and promoted sustained growth in shipments.
In overseas markets, CALB has been included in the supplier whitelists of top regional energy storage developers and independent power producers (IPPs) in South Africa, Latin America, the United States, Israel and other regions. As a supplier of second-generation long-cycle energy storage cells, CALB has secured long-cycle energy storage cell orders from overseas customers. Its new-generation "Zhijiu" 600Ah+ large-format energy storage cells have obtained mass production designations, and liquid-cooled container systems have been fully deployed and delivered in high-value markets including Europe, Japan and the United States.
In addition, in terms of technology, CALB has completed the development of the original 450Wh/kg "WuJie" all-solid-state battery system and finished the trial production and verification of the industry’s first batch of products, making forward-looking arrangements for next-generation battery technologies.
