Beijing CREAT Plans Procurement of Tesla Energy Storage Systems

On May 28, Beijing CREAT announced via regulatory filings the signing of a Cooperation Agreement and a System Purchase Agreement with Company T.

In a follow-up disclosure dated May 29, the firm clarified that the two contracts signed with Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. on May 26, 2026 are purely procurement accords. Under the terms, Beijing CREAT intends to purchase energy storage systems from Tesla (Shanghai) between 2026 and 2028. The procurement framework links closely to two preliminary investment memorandums unveiled on October 9 and December 3, 2024, which have yet to be finalized into formal binding contracts.

Beijing CREAT specified that Company T refers to Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and the deal constitutes inbound procurement instead of outbound product sales, thus exerting no impact on the company’s current operating revenue. The contracted storage capacity stated in the framework only serves as CREAT’s preliminary demand estimate for future project procurement at the current stage.
