Recently, LONGi, TCL Solar, Trina Solar, and Jinko Solar have successively secured a series of overseas module orders across multiple projects in Zimbabwe, Australia, Spain, and Japan.
LONGi Supplies Modules for 11 MW Solar-Storage Microgrid Project in Zimbabwe
The solar-storage-diesel microgrid project at Zimbabwe's Rad Mining was recently officially commissioned. The project was developed by Beijing Yunmu Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd., with AVIC International Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. serving as the EPC main contractor and JiChu Energy providing technical support.
The project features a DC-side PV capacity of 11 MW and exclusively uses LONGi high-efficiency bifacial modules, making it particularly suitable for application scenarios with high ground albedo and limited land area. It is paired with a 30 MWh energy storage system and a 4 MW diesel generator backup power supply. With the solar and storage ratio accounting for over 85% of the power supply, it stands as one of the largest mine-based solar-storage-diesel microgrid projects in Zimbabwe to date.
TCL Solar Wins Bid for 720 MW BC Module Project in Australia
TCL Solar recently announced that it won the module supply contract for DT Infrastructure (DTI) in Australia. It will supply high-efficiency Back Contact (BC) modules for two solar power plants—Smoky Creek and Guthrie's Gap—located in Central Queensland, with a total project capacity of 720 MW.
Both the Smoky Creek and Guthrie's Gap solar projects are developed by Edify Energy and are scheduled to begin installation and construction in the second quarter of 2027. Once completed, they will form one of the world's largest ground-mounted PV projects using BC technology. The project will utilize TCL Solar BC modules with a maximum conversion efficiency of up to 24.2%, backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power performance warranty.
Trina Solar Supplies Modules for Solar Projects in Spain
Recently, the Villacé I and Villacé II solar projects—developed in partnership with Spanish EPC firm Norsol—were officially connected to the grid. Trina Solar provided high-efficiency modules along with smart tracking solutions for these projects.
Developed by Norsol, the Villacé I and Villacé II projects have a total installed capacity exceeding 20 MW and entered commercial operation in July 2026. The projects feature a combination of TrinaTracker Vanguard 1P smart tracking systems and Trina Solar Vertex N high-efficiency modules, complemented by customized engineering solutions.
Jinko Solar's Tiger Neo 3.0 Modules Applied in Japanese Solar Project
Recently, module installation was completed for a solar power plant built on a converted golf course in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. The project exclusively adopts Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 3.0 modules.
