EnergyTrend has learned that six energy storage enterprises—Envision Energy, HiTHIUM, Youngy Energy, Hoymiles, COSPOWERS, and SERMATEC—have recently announced developments such as project signings and operational commissioning, achieving new breakthroughs in key overseas energy storage markets, including Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
Envision Signs Contract for Energy Storage Project in France
On July 28, Envision Energy announced that it had deepened its strategic cooperation with European renewable energy company Kallista Energy. The two parties will jointly develop the Neuilly-en-Thelle battery energy storage project in the Hauts-de-France region, with a scale of 193 MW / 386 MWh.
It is reported that this is the second energy storage project implemented by the two parties in France following the Saleux project in 2025. Construction of the project began in early July 2026, and commercial operations are expected to begin before the spring of 2028.
The Neuilly-en-Thelle project will utilize Envision's AI energy storage system solution and provide full lifecycle operational management, covering stages from on-site operations and maintenance (O&M) to battery recycling after the 25-year operational period ends. The project will use Envision AESC's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, supported locally by Envision's 10 GWh factory located in the Hauts-de-France region.
HiTHIUM Signs Contract for Its First Energy Storage Project in Spain
On July 28, HiTHIUM reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Statkraft, a leading European renewable energy producer, to provide an all-scenario integrated energy storage solution for its Montes de Cierzo wind farm in northern Spain.
According to the agreement, HiTHIUM will deliver 6 standardized energy storage systems for the project, each with a unit capacity of 5.016 MWh, bringing the project's total energy storage capacity to 30.1 MWh.
Youngy Energy Signs 5 GWh Energy Storage System Order
On July 30, Youngy Energy signed a 5 GWh strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indian power enterprise JSW Energy Limited. JSW will procure approximately 5 GWh of energy storage system products from Youngy Energy, including full 5 MWh and 6.26 MWh containerized systems as well as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) parts, equipped with 314 Ah and 588 Ah cells, respectively.
In addition to cell supply, the two parties will collaborate on DC modules for battery energy storage systems in fully assembled and semi-assembled modes, covering both 5 MWh and 6.25 MWh capacity schemes. Specific technical specifications and project scopes will be agreed upon subsequently.
Hoymiles Signs Energy Storage Cooperation Agreement in the Middle East
On July 29, Hoymiles announced that it had signed another cooperation agreement with its long-term partner QSSUN. Building on their consolidated cooperation in the Saudi market, the two parties will expand into Gulf markets such as Kuwait.
QSSUN is a prominent local renewable energy company in Saudi Arabia, with an established market foundation in residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and agricultural renewable energy sectors. The two parties will leverage Hoymiles' comprehensive PV and energy storage product platforms and technical advantages, combined with QSSUN's mature local channel network, project execution experience, and service capabilities, to jointly expand diverse renewable energy application scenarios across the Gulf region.
COSPOWERS's C&I Energy Storage Project in the US Commissioned
On July 30, COSPOWERS announced that a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage project jointly deployed with its US partner was recently delivered and commissioned.
The project covers two major markets—Florida and California in the US—and spans three typical C&I scenarios: renewable energy pairing, industrial and mining production, and commercial applications. All projects utilize COSPOWERS's self-developed PowerEco-60kW/207kWh C&I energy storage system.
SERMATEC's European Energy Storage Project Connected to Grid
On July 30, SERMATEC announced that its 100 MW / 400 MWh energy storage project in Europe was recently grid-connected, energized, and granted an operational permit. This is reportedly SERMATEC's largest single-capacity energy storage project in Europe to date.
The project has a total capacity of 100 MW / 400 MWh and utilizes SERMATEC's self-developed containerized energy storage systems alongside advanced power conversion system (PCS) equipment, including 80 units of the "Xinghan" series 5 MWh containerized energy storage systems and 10 sets of 10 MW converter-booster integrated cabins.
