Recently, order momentum in the photovoltaic (PV) module market has continued to accelerate, with project procurement and supply partnerships being finalized both domestically and internationally. LONGi Green Energy and Hency Solar secured PV module orders of 71 MW in Italy and 3 GW in Dubai, respectively, while Ronma Solar and Tianfu Tianyao won bids for a combined 432 MW PV module centralized procurement.
LONGi Secures 71 MW Module Order in Italy
Recently, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("LONGi Green Energy") announced a strategic partnership with European independent power producer (IPP) Innovo Renewables to supply PV modules for a 71 MWp utility-scale solar project developed and constructed by Innovo in Italy.
This marks the first large-scale utility solar collaboration in Europe between the two parties. The project will feature LONGi's Hi-MO 9 high-efficiency back-contact (BC) modules based on second-generation HPBC 2.0 technology. By moving electrode contacts to the rear, the design effectively eliminates front-side grid line shading, expanding the light-receiving area and boosting energy conversion efficiency—achieving a maximum module efficiency of 24.8% and a power output of up to 670 W.
Currently, both parties are in discussions regarding further clean energy projects, aiming to draw upon the practical experience gained from this project in technology selection, system design, and delivery coordination to continuously expand their renewable energy footprint.
Additionally, on August 7, LONGi announced that shipments of modules equipped with its proprietary ACM technology had surpassed 500 MW. First unveiled at LONGi's 2026 Solar-plus-Storage Innovative Technology Conference on July 14, ACM technology enhances cell and module performance through novel grid line materials and manufacturing process optimizations. Currently, ACM technology has successfully transitioned from pilot production lines to commercial-scale manufacturing, accelerating the market application of high-efficiency module solutions.
Hency Solar Lands 3 GW Dubai PV Module Order
On August 7, Hency Solar signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) for 3 GW of energy projects with Dubai real estate developer Azizi Developments L.L.C., with the initial phase focusing on the supply of 2 GW of PV modules.
Under the agreement, Hency Solar will supply PV modules for energy projects under Azizi Developments. Azizi Developments officially expanded into the energy sector in 2025 with plans to construct diversified power generation assets totaling approximately 10 GW in installed capacity; this partnership will propel its renewable energy growth.
Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, stated that both parties intend to further expand the scale of their cooperation in the future. Azizi Developments plans to establish a procurement office in Shanghai and foster deeper strategic collaboration with Shanghai Electric in renewable energy and related fields.
Ronma Solar and Tianfu Tianyao Win Bids for 432 MW PV Module Procurement
On August 4, the winning bidding results were announced for Phase I PV Module Procurement of the 1 GW "Grassland-Solar Complementary" PV Project (jointly developed by the Eighth Division Shima Corps-Local Integration and Shaanxi Construction). Ronma Solar and Tianfu Tianyao won Section 1 and Section 2 of the project, respectively, with winning unit prices of RMB 0.706/W and RMB 0.726/W.
According to the tender announcement, the project is located in Manas County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a planned generation scale of 1 GW and a DC-side installed capacity of 1,069.36128 MWp. The main technical specification requires monocrystalline bifacial dual-glass N-type modules rated at 720 Wp and above. Among these, Section 1 and Section 2 each plan to procure 300,000 modules under this bidding phase, representing a capacity of approximately 216 MW per section (totaling 432 MW across both sections).
