SolarWorld AG has shipped more than 1GW of PV modules and kits in 2015, reaching its annual shipment goal. The company also expects to exceed its forecast shipment and revenue increase by at least 25% thanks to the market growth.

“Our customers value SolarWorld’s clear commitment towards quality, high power and sustainability,” said CEO Dr.-Ing. E. h. Frank Asbeck. “We have continuously invested in our production facilities in the U.S. and Germany to further improve product performance and durability.”

The PV modules and kits shipped by SolarWorld AG during 2015 is enough to supply one million people in Germany with clean solar electricity for 30 years. Business grew the strongest in the United States and Europe – two regions where SolarWorld could benefit from its clear quality positioning to gain momentum.

Frank Asbeck also welcomes the extension of Europe’s anti-dumping and countervailing duties on China-imported solar products until 2017. He said, "Dumping must be stopped, otherwise product diversity, technological development and competition will always suffer. It is therefore important that the European Union, like the United States before, also continued to apply anti-dumping measures."
