Renewable Conference North Africa 2019

The Renewable Conference North Africa 2019 (RCNA 2019) will be held on 28 – 29 March 2019 in
Casablanca, Morocco. It will focus on four topics: Solar Park, Wind Farm, Energy Storage and Smart
Grid. In the two-day event, 30 speakers from Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria will be presenting their
projects updates. More than 200 delegates are estimated to join the event all over the world. This year's
theme is "New Era of North Africa Renewable".

Opportunities Ahead:

Morocco has set a target of 40% of installed capacity from renewable resources by 2020, rising to 52% by
2030, equivalent to 6 GW of new capacity.

Egypt, according to the Wind and Solar Atlas, there are opportunities and potential for Wind and Solar
plants in the East and West Nile areas that will produce around 31,150 MW from wind and 52,300 MW from
solar.

Tunisia plans to invest USD 1.8 bn in renewable energy projects over by 2020. On the regulatory side,
Tunisia will work for setting up an electricity sector regulator before the end of 2018.

Algeria, the government will be committed to 100% renewables energy and several big projects are under
auction.
