In the 25th World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS 25) held in China, the electric car manufacturer BYD had drawn great attention of public for its electric vehicle with advanced green technology and the “Green City Solution” for electrifying the public transportation system.

During the symposium and exposition, BYD booth has attracted thousands of visitors and also the former Vice Premier of China Li Lanqing, Minister of Science and Technology Ministry of China Wan Gang, Guangdong Provincial Party Secretary Wang Yang, and Guangdong Provincial Governor Huang Huahua, who all think highly of BYD for its devotion to R&D and the application of new energy technologies.

As the core part of BYD’s “Green City Solution”, the pure electric taxi e6, the e-bus K9, and the Dual-Mode vehicle F3DM were displayed and test driven during EVS 25. On November 4, the three models lead the EVS25 Shenzhen Parade; on November 11, the e6 and the F3DM also joined the Hong Kong Rally and attended a four-day show in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.

In China, there are 30 million passenger cars, of which approximately 1.2 million are taxis. The daily fuel consumption of taxis and buses is about 10 times and 30 times that of a family car, respectively. If all the gasoline taxis and buses in China were replaced by electric passenger cars and buses, the pollution equivalent to approximately 27 million traditional gasoline passenger cars can be saved. Starting with the application of its EVs (the e6 and the K9 shown at EVS 25) in public transportation systems, BYD cannot only help to alleviate the air pollution from car emissions, but can also greatly conserve energy.

Besides the achievement on the new energy vehicles, BYD also devoted a lot on the energy-saving products, for example, the LED lighting and the energy-saving gasoline models. In October, due to the excellent energy-saving performance, BYD F3 and F0 have won government subsidy of 3000 RMB by the National Energy-saving Products Huimin Project; BYD F3 led the Chinese auto brand car sales with 18,127 units, while the BYD F0 at the third place with 13,981 units, according to the data released by China Passenger Cars Association (CPCA) and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
