CASIO Unveils 2015’s Newest Solar-powered Watch

Known for the stylish, innovative and technological combination, Casio America Inc. unveiled its latest EDIFICE timepieces series. The newest EDIFICE member is powered by light and is equipped with a rechargeable battery, reflecting an eco-friendly lifestyle of the global timepiece manufacturer.

"We are excited to unveil the EFR545 series of timepieces which build on the rich feature set and unique design the EDIFICE Collection is known for," said David Johnson, Vice President of Casio America, Inc.'s Timepiece Division. "These new additions symbolize Casio's dedication to providing bold designs to complement the style of any man who wears them."

Casio’s Tough Solar Technology helps timepieces to be powered through light while the rechargeable battery can last for approximately six months when fully charged. The technology allows the timepieces to be charged in low r fluorescent light. It also eliminates the need for continuous battery changes. In addition, Casio's new EFR545 series of timepieces come equipped with a 1/5th second chronograph, tachymeter, 12/24 hour sub-dial, and are water resistant up to 100 meters and also feature a low battery alert.
