JA Solar’s Mono-si Module Shipments Exceed 7GW

published: 2016-07-25 18:06

JA Solar again proves its position as a leader in the PV industry by announcing that its mono-si PV module’s global shipments have already exceeded 7GW by mid-July, 2016.

JA Solar started mono-si PV cells’ mass production in March, 2006, and became one of the world’s leading manufacturers of P-type mono-si PV cells. In 2013, JA Solar reached 500MW annual PV module shipments and hence became the world’s largest P-type mono-si PV module supplier. JA Solar expects to ship 2GW of mono-si modules in 2016 following the 1GW shipment record in 2015.

JA Solar’s high efficiency products won approximately 420MW of orders among first phase of China’s “Top Runner Program” demonstration projects, which installed a total of 1GW PV projects. EnergyTrend found that nearly 700MW of the projects installed mono-si modules, in which 300MW were supplied by JA Solar.

Percium series, JA Solar’s star product, is a P-type PERC mono-si module that has an average efficiency of 21%. The power output of 60-cell and 72-cell Percium modules respectively reach 295W and 345W, demonstrating 2% higher power yield than conventional mono-si modules.
