Shuangliang Sells Polysilicon Reduction Furnaces to Dongli for RMB 243 Million

Chinese equipment provider Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems Co. Ltd. announce on May 30 that its subsidiary Jiangsu Shuangliang New Energy Equipment Co. Ltd. had inked a deal to provide polysilicon (rod) reduction furnaces to compatriot polysilicon supplier Inner Mongolia Dongli Photovoltaic Electronics Co. Ltd. Shuangliang’s furnaces will be supporting a production base operated by Dongli. The contract was signed on May 27 and is valued at RMB 243 million. The announcement was first picked up by other Chinese renewable energy news outlets.

The production base, which is located in an industrial park in Urad Front Banner of Inner Mongolia, is set to have an annual production capacity of 48,000MT for polysilicon and annual production of 7,500MW for PV cells and modules. According to the related coverage by Chinese news outlets, the base is undergoing a two-phase development or upgrade. New equipment will be moved into the existing facility space, while the existing equipment will be further modified and optimized.

Shuangliang will be delivering reduction furnaces that together can produce up to 72 pairs of polysilicon rods at a time. Shuangliang stated that the successful implementation of the contract will make a positive contribution to its revenue result for this year. The company also said this deal is a recognition of the high quality of its manufacturing solutions. At the same time, the company will be able to maintain its operational independence.
