From January to April 2024, China's solar cells and modules export market showed an overall growth trend, though the growth was uneven with significant regional differences.

In terms of total export volume, both solar cells and modules saw an increase of over 20% year-on-year. However, the export value of solar cells decreased by 43.98% year-on-year, and modules by 27.78%.

For cells, the South Asia region demonstrated strong export performance, while other regions showed mixed results, with most regions experiencing a year-on-year decline in both export volume and value. The export volume to South Asia significantly increased by 138.35%, with the export value reaching 6.549 billion RMB, leading all regions.

The West Asia region saw a slight increase in export volume, and East Asia's export volume rose by 65.99% year-on-year, though both regions experienced a decline in export value. The Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan region, despite a smaller export volume, showed a year-on-year growth of 108.15%, indicating positive market changes.

Regarding modules, although the overall export volume increased, there were significant regional differences and fluctuations. The export volume to South Asia grew substantially, approximately 33 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 249.50%. The export value also reached 15.635 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 134.34%, marking it as an export highlight.

Central Asia, though having a smaller export volume, saw a significant year-on-year increase, with the export volume rising by 289.2% and the export value by 265.84%, becoming a new growth market for exports.

The European region's export volume was as high as 76 million units, showing a slight year-on-year decline of 2.49%, indicating relatively stable export conditions. However, the export value sharply declined by 48.87% year-on-year, possibly due to factors such as product price drops and policy adjustments.

Southeast Asia, South America, and other regions showed a downward trend in export value.
