Recently, several key projects within China's energy storage and lithium battery supply chain have seen a concentrated wave of new developments. Covering multiple sectors—from electrolytes and solid-state batteries to comprehensive energy storage systems—companies such as Great Power, Lisiner, Dangzhuo Energy, and Hangsheng New Energy are accelerating the signing, filing, construction, and commissioning of their respective projects.

Great PowerConstruction Progress Updated for the 36GWh Energy Storage Battery Project

According to news from the Quzhou Smart Manufacturing New Town in Zhejiang Province, the 36GWh annual capacity energy storage battery project of Quzhou Great Power Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has recently achieved new progress. The facility is currently undergoing interior decoration, with equipment installation scheduled for April and trial production planned for June.

Data indicates that Quzhou Great Power Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Power. The project features a total investment of 12 billion RMB and covers an area of 1,109 mu (approximately 183 acres). With a construction timeline spanning from 2023 to 2026, it is expected to generate an estimated 25.2 billion RMB in new annual output value upon completion.

LisinerPhase II of the Jiangxi Energy Storage System Project Officially Signed

On March 25th, the signing ceremony for Phase II of Yaoning Technology Group's Jiangxi Energy Storage System Project was held at Lisiner's Hangzhou Operations Center.

Serving as Lisiner's core smart manufacturing base, the Yingtan facility will see its total production capacity reach 16GWh once Phase II of the project reaches full production. This will further consolidate the company's large-scale delivery capabilities.

Currently, Lisiner has established a strategic layout of three major smart manufacturing bases in Yingtan and Poyang (Jiangxi Province), as well as Yancheng (Jiangsu Province), successfully building multiple GWh-level automated energy storage system production lines. The company's independently developed Yuanteliu® series of energy storage products has been widely deployed across Asia, Europe, and Africa, providing both domestic and overseas clients with smart energy solutions that cover a diverse range of scenarios.

This signing is not only a crucial step for Yaoning Group and Lisiner to deepen their footprint in East China and expand their national influence, but it will also inject new momentum into the optimization and upgrading of local industrial structures and the green transformation of the energy system.

Dangzhuo Energy5GWh Solid-State Battery Project Officially Filed

On March 23rd, Zhejiang Dangzhuo Energy's new industrialization project for an annual output of 5GWh of novel battery cells/modules (anode-free solid-state) was officially filed for record.

The filing information reveals that the project is located in Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The company plans to purchase advanced equipment—including coating machines, mixers, and die-cutting machines—to expand its production lines and bring them into operation. The project has a planned total investment of 1 billion RMB, with construction set to begin in June 2026 and completion targeted for November 2026.

Previously, on July 25, 2025, Dangzhuo Energy signed an agreement to lay out a new energy battery factory, dedicating itself to building a smart and highly efficient ecosystem for both energy storage and commercial vehicle power batteries. This overall project is planned to cover more than 400 mu, will be constructed in three phases, and targets a total planned annual capacity of 40GWh. It is expected to be fully realized within 4 to 5 years. Currently, the Phase I project under construction involves an investment of approximately 1.6 billion RMB and features an annual capacity of 10GWh, with official production expected to commence in July 2026.

Jiangxi Hangsheng50,000-Ton Annual Capacity Lithium Battery Electrolyte Project Begins Production

On March 20th, the commissioning event for Jiangxi Hangsheng New Energy Co., Ltd.'s lithium battery electrolyte project, which boasts an annual output of 50,000 tons, was held in Longnan, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province.

Having initiated construction in December 2023, the project focuses entirely on the research, development, production, and sales of lithium battery electrolytes. It stands as a pivotal initiative for Hangsheng Lithium Energy to perfect its national industrial footprint.

It is reported that Jiangxi Hangsheng New Energy Co., Ltd. specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of core products such as lithium battery cathode and anode materials, electrolytes, and separators. The company is a subsidiary of Guizhou Hangsheng Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
