Over 21GWh! Deye and Four Other Companies Steadily Advance Energy Storage Battery Projects

published: 2026-06-24 14:28

Recently, multiple projects in the energy storage and lithium battery industries have made new progress. Work such as environmental impact assessment (EIA) approvals, contract signings, trial operations, and project commissioning is steadily advancing, indicating that the enthusiasm for investment and construction across the industry chain remains high.

Deye Co., Ltd.’s 9GWh C&I Energy Storage Project Lands in Cixi

On June 23, Deye Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ningbo Deye Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., signed an Investment Agreement (Phase II) with the Cixi Binhai Economic Development Zone Management Committee to advance the phase II construction of its commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage production line project, which has a total planned annual capacity of 16GWh.

The announcement indicates that this project is a component of Deye’s previously planned 16GWh C&I energy storage production line project. The Phase II project plans to construct a C&I energy storage production line with an annual capacity of 9GWh, with a fixed asset investment of no less than 1.232 billion yuan.

Deye stated that this investment is primarily driven by the growing demand in the global C&I energy storage market and the company's own capacity layout needs. Once completed, the project is expected to further enhance the company's supply capacity for C&I energy storage products.

Fengjing Co., Ltd.’s Phase I 2GWh Lithium Titanate Battery Project Goes into Production

On June 21, Fengjing Co., Ltd. announced that the Phase I 2GWh engineering phase of its newly invested lithium battery project (focusing on novel lithium titanate batteries) has been fully completed. The products have rolled off the production line and achieved mass production status. All performance and safety tests of the products have met national standard requirements, and the company has currently entered the customer negotiation stage.

Based on the specific characteristics of lithium titanate batteries, the company is primarily focusing on expanding its market and selling products across three key fields: power batteries for new energy passenger vehicles, energy storage batteries for the generation side of wind and photovoltaic green power, and energy storage batteries for the consumption side of Artificial Intelligence Data Centers (AIDC).

Hunan Dazhonghe’s 20,000-Ton Lithium Carbonate Production Line Enters Trial Operation

On June 18, the kiln for the lithium carbonate production line with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons at Hunan Dazhonghe Lithium Mine Co., Ltd. was officially ignited and started.

It is reported that the overall project is planned to achieve an annual production capacity of 80,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate, which will be constructed in two phases. The planned capacity for the first phase is 40,000 tons, and the current 20,000-ton production line has now entered the trial operation stage.

10GWh Sodium-Ion Battery and Supporting PACK Project Passes Record-Filing

On June 17, Jinna Technology’s solid-state battery sodium (lithium) co-line project—an integrated industrial project with an annual output of 10GWh of sodium-ion batteries and supporting PACKs—successfully passed the official record-filing process.

It is reported that the project has a planned total investment of 2 billion yuan, with a main plant building area of approximately 120,000 square meters. This includes production facilities such as battery cell production lines and electrode material production lines, alongside supporting auxiliary buildings. Once fully operational, the project will form an annual production capacity of 10GWh of sodium-ion batteries.

Jintong Xunneng’s 30,000-Ton Lithium Battery New Materials Project Passes EIA Approval

Recently, the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for Quanzhou Jintong Xunneng New Energy’s (Phase I) lithium battery new materials project, which boasts an annual capacity of 30,000 tons, was officially approved.

It is reported that the project is located in the Nanshan Area of the Petrochemical Park in Quangang District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, its main construction content includes a 30,000-ton/year lithium carbonate production unit, a lithium carbonate workshop, a sodium sulfate workshop, a purification workshop, a leaching workshop, and corresponding public auxiliary facilities. Upon completion, it can achieve a production capacity of 30,000 tons/year of battery-grade lithium carbonate, alongside a byproduct capacity of 94,752 tons/year of anhydrous sodium sulfate.
