EnergyTrend learned that the layout pace of the lithium battery energy storage upstream and downstream industrial chain has continued to accelerate recently, with energy storage capacity projects of multiple enterprises including REPT BATTERO, Gotion High-Tech, Yist Electric Power and Tinci Materials achieving new construction milestones.

REPT BATTERO’s 30GWh Base in Chongqing Topped Out

According to Fuling Release, the topping-out ceremony for REPT BATTERO’s 30GWh battery project in Chongqing was held in Fuling on the morning of July 2.

The first phase of the Chongqing REPT BATTERO 30GWh battery project is planned with an annual capacity of 12GWh for energy storage and power lithium batteries, covering the R&D and manufacturing of energy storage batteries as well as passenger and commercial vehicle power batteries. It will cooperate with vehicle manufacturers to build a complete industrial closed loop of "resources – battery cells – finished vehicles", filling the critical gap of power cell manufacturing for new energy vehicles in Fuling.

RMB 2 Billion Solid-State Battery Project Breaks Ground in Guangzhou

Per Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation, the solid-state battery industrial park project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Green Energy Valley officially started construction in Guangzhou recently.

With a total investment of RMB 2 billion, the project is located in the startup zone of Huadu Airport Digital Intelligence Port, covering a land area of approximately 213 mu. Full completion and commissioning are scheduled for September 2027. The project introduces an academician-led R&D team to tackle high-safety solid-state battery technologies, and builds an energy storage industrial platform integrating R&D pilot testing, manufacturing and battery recycling, forming a full industrial chain closed loop of "materials – battery cells – applications – recycling".

Gotion High-Tech’s Battery Material Project in Inner Mongolia Gets Approval

According to public information released by the Online Approval Service Hall for Investment Projects of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the integrated project with an annual output of 100,000 tons of high-performance anode materials for power and energy storage lithium-ion batteries under Inner Mongolia Gotion Zero Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. obtained industrial project filing approval on June 26.

Situated in the Low-Carbon Industrial Park of Hainan District, Wuhai City, the project involves a total investment of about RMB 3.5 billion, including RMB 1.05 billion self-owned capital and RMB 2.45 billion loans. Construction is scheduled to run from July 2026 to December 2028. Upon completion, it will deliver an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of high-end anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.

Jiangsu Yist Electric Power’s New Energy Storage Project Starts Construction

The new energy storage equipment project of Jiangsu Yist Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. broke ground on July 1. Located in Menghe Town, the project occupies an additional 53 mu of land and will construct new production workshops and other buildings.

The project will procure main and auxiliary production equipment including CNC punching machines, CNC fiber laser cutting machines and CNC machining centers. After completion, it will achieve an annual output of 20,000 sets of intelligent eco-friendly power distribution switch control equipment, alongside 2GWh wind power booster cabins and 1GWh new energy storage equipment.

At present, Jiangsu East Power Technology holds large-volume orders for energy storage and power distribution networks from NR Electric, Pinggao Electric, XJ Electric and other clients, with its products sold to multiple provinces and cities nationwide.

Tinci Materials Signs Deal for 300,000-Ton Lithium Battery Electrolyte Project in Dezhou

As reported by Dezhou 24 Hours, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation framework agreement on Tinci Materials’ lithium battery electrolyte project with an annual output of 300,000 tons was held on June 30.

On the same day, Hualu Hengsheng under Hualu Group also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Tinci Materials. Under the agreement, relying on its industrial advantages, Hualu Hengsheng will support Tinci Materials to invest and construct the 300,000-ton/year lithium battery electrolyte project within Dezhou Yunhe Hengsheng Chemical Industrial Park.

Ronbay’s 340,000-Ton Lithium Iron Phosphate Project Nears Commissioning

Per Guizhou Daily, the million-ton-grade pyrometallurgical lithium iron phosphate project in Bijie High-Tech Zone is under accelerated construction, with the Phase I 340,000-ton capacity entering the final sprint stage.

Invested and constructed by Bijie Ronbay Lithium Materials Co., Ltd., Phase I of the project has finished 60% of overall construction. Most preliminary preparation work has been completed, civil engineering is drawing to an end, and electromechanical installation is underway.

As previously arranged, partial production lines were planned to finish installation and commissioning by June 30, with construction and equipment debugging of the remaining lines to be completed successively from July to August, and official production launch scheduled for August this year.
