According to EnergyTrend, BTR, China Sodium ion Battery Group, Huge Energy and APsystems have recently unveiled updates on their energy storage orders, achieving new progress in lithium ion battery material supply, sodium ion energy storage and overseas solar storage projects.
BTR Proposes Additional Transaction Quotas for EVE Energy and SK On
On September 23, BTR issued an announcement to raise its estimated 2026 routine related party transaction quotas with EVE Energy and SK On, shareholders of its subsidiary Changzhou BTR.
BTR noted the quota increase is driven by growing demand from downstream customers. The Group had previously approved the estimated 2026 routine related party transaction quotas, and this marks a further adjustment.
Original projected sales to EVE Energy stood at RMB 2.134 billion. An additional RMB 800 million is added in this revision, bringing the adjusted estimate to RMB 2.934 billion. Actual transaction value from January to August 2026 totalled RMB 1.571 billion. Meanwhile, a new projected sales quota of RMB 3.473 billion to SK On is set.
Huge Energy Signs MOU for 1 GW New Energy Project in the Philippines
On September 23, Huge Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority of the Philippines. The parties plan to develop a three phase new energy project totalling around 1 GW within the economic zone of Aurora Province.
Under the released preliminary plan, Phase 1 will reach approximately 100 MW, covering solar power generation, energy storage and power transformation facilities. Phase 2 will add around 350 MW of solar generation and waste to energy capacity, and Phase 3 will deliver a further 550 MW.
This MOU acts merely as a project development framework. The project remains in the planning phase, and specific construction arrangements are subject to follow up feasibility studies and regulatory approvals.
China Sodium ion Battery Group Ships Equipment for Sodium ion Energy storage Project
On September 22, complete sets of equipment for the 20 MW/80 MWh Qinhuangdao sodium ion energy storage project under the contract between China Sodium ion Battery Group and Clou Electronics were dispatched for delivery.
Pursuant to the prior procurement agreement, China Sodium ion Battery Group supplies full scope turnkey sodium ion energy storage equipment for the project, with a total contract value of nearly RMB 100 million. The supply scope includes core equipment such as power conversion & step up systems and battery containers, as well as key components including polyanionic chemistry sodium ion cells, BMS, thermal management systems and fire protection systems.
APsystems Establishes Strategic Cooperation with Two Major European Energy Platforms
On September 22, APsystems entered into separate strategic cooperation agreements with two leading European energy platforms, Axle Energy and Enode. The formal signing took place during the UK International Solar & Energy Storage Exhibition.
Per the agreements, APsystems will partner with Axle Energy to target European markets including the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. Leveraging APsystems’ self developed APEMS energy management platform, residential solar storage systems from APsystems will be integrated into Axle Energy’s virtual power plant platform.
Through cross platform integration, APsystems’ full portfolio of residential solar storage systems can connect to diverse smart energy applications and third party energy service platforms via Enode’s unified interface. This simplifies device data acquisition, energy status synchronization and remote system optimization workflows.
