China Offers Additional Incentives for Beijing EV Customers

published: 2015-05-27 17:46

The Chinese Government has decided to offer additional incentives for customers who purchase electric vehicles (EVs) in Beijing.

Car buyers in Beijing typically have to deal with high costs and restrictions on when they can drive their vehicles on the road. Cars with odd or even numbers on the licence plates can only be used on alternate days. However, the city’s authorities are providing additional incentives for EV customers through alleviating the restrictions – owners of EVs can drive on the road whenever they wish, rather than facing limits during peak time travel. This will be put into practice from June 1st 2015 to April 10th 2016.

Since Beijing authorities have provided subsidies to those purchase EVs before, this is an extra incentive in order to attract vehicle owners into buying EVs.
