BYD Energy exhibited its complete range of residential Battery-Box solutions, including the Battery-Box HVB, Battery-Box HVS+, Battery-Box HVM+, the Battery-Box HVE integrated solution popular in the European market along with its compatible Power-Box SH 3-6K and Power-Box TH 5-10K inverters, and the Battery-Box LV5.0+ integrated solution favored in the African market with its Power-Box SL7-10K inverter. The Battery-Box HVB, BYD Energy's first residential storage system utilizing blade battery technology, garnered significant attention. This system perfectly integrates ultra-high energy density, cutting-edge technology, and minimalist aesthetic design. It offers flexible energy storage capacities, starting from a height of 479mm (less than a basketball) with 5.94kWh, scaling up to 29.69kWh (1327mm high) in a single tower, and reaching 89.07kWh with three towers in parallel.
Its modular design and excellent scalability allow for easy adaptation to diverse application scenarios such as on-grid, off-grid, and energy backup. In terms of product form factor, the system boasts significant height advantages. A tower consisting of 10 modules is only 1327mm tall, similar to the height of a bicycle, making it easy to fit into small spaces like stairwells. Each module weighs only 27.3kg, lighter than the checked baggage allowance for international flights, allowing for easy single-person lifting. It maximizes energy density in a compact size and features an integrated handle design, enabling single-person installation and significantly reducing installation difficulty and labor costs.
As a true high-voltage system, the Battery-Box HVB achieves an efficiency of over 95%. Leveraging innovative cell-to-module-to-pack design and the integration of blade batteries, its energy density reaches up to 108.8Wh/kg and 162.88Wh/L. The system's maximum power output is 25.6kW, with a peak power of 50.18kW for 15 seconds, meeting the diverse electricity needs of households.
Furthermore, the system retains blind-mating technology, coupled with proven patented intelligent configuration support, featuring automatic SOC adjustment, remote diagnostics, OTA wireless updates, and other intelligent management functions. Paired with the new "BYD Energy" APP, users can easily achieve convenient control and management of the energy storage system. High safety and high reliability are other core advantages of the Battery-Box HVB. It utilizes advanced and safe BYD LFP cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate batteries, combined with a robust die-cast casing and a 15-year long warranty, providing maximum peace of mind. It is also compatible with European inverters, fully meeting the personalized needs of different customers in the European region.
During the exhibition, BYD Energy held a 10th-anniversary celebration for its residential storage solutions, featuring a grand award ceremony. Over the past decade, BYD Energy's residential storage solutions have continuously broken through innovation, from the first generation of residential energy storage products to the fourth generation of comprehensive system solutions.
