Recently, Chinese energy storage giants including BYD Energy Storage, EVE Energy, and Far East Co., Ltd. have successively secured a string of major energy storage orders. Concurrently, Sermatec Energy’s multi-technology integration energy storage project in China and TBEA’s solar-storage project in Africa have also been successfully grid-connected and commissioned.
BYD Energy Storage Signs 2.4GWh Energy Storage Project in Poland
Recently, BYD Energy Storage signed a cooperation agreement with Greenvolt Power to jointly develop the Siedlce energy storage project in Poland.
The project features a total capacity of 600MW/2.4GWh. BYD Energy Storage will supply its industry-leading BYD Haohan energy storage system for the project. Equipped with the world's largest 2710Ah dedicated energy storage Blade battery, the system features a minimum unit capacity of 14.5MWh, achieving an ultra-large capacity equivalent to 10MWh per 20-foot container. With fewer enclosures and a smaller footprint, the Haohan system will significantly save land and construction costs for the Siedlce project.
According to the schedule, construction of the Siedlce project is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commercial operations expected to commence by the end of 2027.
Notably, this partnership marks another collaboration between BYD Energy Storage and Greenvolt Power in Poland, following their previous joint efforts on two local projects with a cumulative capacity of 1.6GWh.
EVE Energy Secures Strategic Energy Storage Orders Exceeding 13.5GWh
At The smarter E Europe 2026 exhibition, EVE Energy successively reached long-term, in-depth strategic partnerships with global enterprises including SolarEdge, INFOWARE Zrt., Idea, and IWELL B.V., with a cumulative signed capacity exceeding 13.5GWh.
During the exhibition, EVE Energy highlighted its "Mr. Big" Family series and 6.9+MWh large-capacity energy storage systems, all-scenario energy storage solutions, and high-end power battery solutions. Furthermore, the company showcased its core lithium-sodium synergy technology, comprehensive product capabilities, and its advantages in European localized operations.
Sermatec Energy's Jiading Independent Energy Storage Project Achieves Full-Capacity Grid Connection
On June 30, the 50MW/200MWh energy storage project in the Jiading Industrial Zone, invested in and developed by Sermatec, achieved full-capacity grid connection.
Specifically, the project's capacity is broken down into lithium iron phosphate (LFP) at 37.5MW/150MWh, sodium-ion at 7.5MW/30MWh, and semi-solid-state lithium batteries at 5MW/20MWh. Through the synergy of these three technologies, the project integrates the stable returns of long-duration energy storage, the high-efficiency value of sodium-ion frequency regulation, and the high-safety guarantees of semi-solid-state batteries. Coupled with an "AI-driven full-link digital and intelligent operation system," it provides a brand-new demonstration for power grid regulation in the load centers of China's megacities.
TBEA's RESPITE Solar-Storage Project Commissioned in Sierra Leone
On June 5, the RESPITE photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage project in Sierra Leone, for which TBEA was responsible for the design, procurement, and construction (EPC), was officially commissioned.
It is reported that the RESPITE solar-storage project has an installed capacity of 50MW of PV generation paired with a 28MWh energy storage system. Once operational, the project is expected to boost Sierra Leone's national electrification rate from the previous 16% to 36% in 2026, effectively alleviating the long-standing power shortages that have constrained the country's development.
