Companies such as JA Solar, Liansheng Technology, Trina Solar, Suntech, and Astronergy have successively secured overseas module orders or achieved project deliveries, covering multiple markets including Bhutan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, and Europe. Meanwhile, UtmoLight's perovskite rooftop PV project has been connected to the grid and put into operation, promoting the further practical application of next-generation PV technologies.
Trina Solar Signs 1.5 GW Module Order in the Middle East
Recently, Trina Solar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Al-Raebi for Trading & Solar Energy Systems in the Middle East. According to the agreement, the two parties plan to cooperate on approximately 1.5 GW of PV projects from 2026 to 2029, involving utility-scale ground-mounted power stations and commercial and industrial (C&I) PV projects in the Middle East region.
Under the terms of collaboration, Trina Solar will give full play to its leading TOPCon 3.0 technology advantages and rich global project experience, combining them with Al-Raebi's local resources and project development capabilities accumulated through years of deep cultivation in the Middle East market, to advance the implementation of PV projects in the region.
JA Solar Supplies Modules for 120 MWp PV Project in Bhutan
Recently, JA Solar secured a PV module order from South Africa to supply all modules for the 120 MWp Jamjee Solar PV Project in Bhutan. It is reported that construction on the project commenced last year, and it is expected to be connected to the grid in early 2027.
Astronergy Signs 337 MW Module Supply Agreement in Bangladesh
On August 3, Astronergy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with SR Renewable Energy of Bangladesh in Haining, Zhejiang, reaching an intent of cooperation for the supply of 337 MW of PV modules.
According to the agreement, Astronergy plans to supply a total of 337 MW of PV modules to SR Renewable Energy from 2026 to 2028, with the products to be used in Bangladeshi C&I PV and utility-scale ground-mounted power station projects. The two parties agreed that after the formal procurement and supply agreement is signed, Astronergy will provide SR Renewable Energy with comprehensive support, including technical assistance and marketing activities, to jointly promote the development of the Bangladeshi PV market.
UtmoLight's Perovskite Rooftop PV Project Put into Operation
On July 31, UtmoLight's 6.7 MW perovskite rooftop distributed PV project at Wanshan Lake Park was officially connected to the grid and put into operation. The project utilizes perovskite PV modules independently developed by UtmoLight and is currently one of the largest single commercial-scale rooftop PV projects in the perovskite field.
It is understood that the project utilizes the roof resources of factory buildings in the park, laying nearly 15,000 pieces of 2.81 m² perovskite PV modules, and operates under the model of "self-generation for self-use, with surplus power fed to the grid."
Liansheng Technology Supplies 70 MW PV Project in Sichuan
On July 29, Liansheng Technology's Meishan Smart Manufacturing Base completed the initial shipment of Uranus PRO high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules for a distributed PV project in Tongjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province. The scale of this supply project is 70 MW, utilizing Liansheng Technology's G12-0BB Uranus PRO series.
It is understood that the project mainly utilizes the rooftops of factory buildings and public buildings in Tongjiang County, belonging to a county-wide distributed PV project. The Uranus PRO modules delivered this time adopt G12-0BB bifacial dual-glass heterojunction technology, achieving a peak mass-production power output of 765 W, a module conversion efficiency exceeding 24.63%, and a maximum bifaciality factor close to 95%.
Suntech Ships Ultra T 3.0 Modules in Bulk Overseas
Recently, Suntech's latest-generation Ultra T 3.0 high-efficiency quad-cut modules achieved mass shipment, with products being delivered to overseas markets including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
It is understood that the Ultra T 3.0 module is built on N-type TOPCon technology and features a quad-cut cell design, with maximum module efficiency exceeding 25.2% and maximum cell conversion efficiency reaching 27.5%. By optimizing current transmission pathways and encapsulation structures, the product enhances module power generation performance and reliability, making it suitable for application scenarios such as distributed PV and utility-scale ground-mounted power stations.
